First Shift -- Emma L, Sarah and Ellie take the early shift at Shaws. Hope, Sydney and LaNaya greet the early shoppers at Walmart.
Second Shift -- Amanda and Maddy handle Shaws while Emma, Hanna, Sydney and LaNaya make sure the Walmart shoppers know they're gymnasts.
Third Shift -- Nicole and Emily D at Shaws. Hanna, Emma and Sydney do handstands at Walmart, while LaNaya looks on.
LaNaya, Hope and Sydney try to make the letters O T and W.
A big treat for the Walmart crew was a surprise visit from Hillary (part of OTW's 2007 Level 7 State Champions team). She got lots of hugs. Later, a photographer from the Carriage Towne News saw the girls doing their handstands, etc. and stopped to take a picture. Maybe there'll be a little story on the girls in an upcoming paper?

8s at Hartford
I had hoped to have more shots from the Northeast Invitational to post here, but DGS9.9 hasn't been too fast in posting any that their photographer shot. So, these are the highlights I got on my camera.
Shopping for leos before the meet. Pinning on numbers, a team activity.
Lined up at march-in. Stetching prior to timed warm ups.
Jess steppin' to the gold on Floor. Kayla's tsuk takes the gold again.
LaNaya's gold-medal Beam mount. Melinda's straddle-back to the Bronze.
Shilanna on high bar to gold medal. Allison's amazingly high split-jump to the Silver on Beam.
Courtney on her way to the Bronze medal for Beam. Alyssa in mid-full, to the Bronze on Floor.
The Level 8 Team before competition, and after, on the winner's platform with their 2nd place team trophy.

Banquet '07 Highlights
Michele Tingley's show kept the whole crowd quiet (except for the "Awww" at the cute photos and the cheers at the championship banners, etc.). Imagine a room with with over 30 gymnasts being quiet. The show was that good.
Coach Paul gave his annual recap of the year, taking time to praise each and every gymnast for her success this season. Coach Paul had a lot to be proud of. He also introduced our newest team girl, Nicole. Welcome to the OTW Team, Nicole!
Booster Secretary, Pat, presented Coach Tammy with over $400 which had been collected from the team parents and girls. Tammy's house had been severely flooded in the flooding southern New Hampshire experienced back in May.
There was a lot of dancing to tunes like Cotton Eye Joe, the Chicken Dance, etc. as well as other popular favorites. Some parents joined in too, but it was hard to keep up with sugar-charged gymnasts. They danced like this for HOURS!
Coach Paul took to the floor, dancing with a very very young future gymnast.
